Black History Month @AAPLD

black history

This February, we’re celebrating African-American literature and history by encouraging more reading, writing, and critical thinking about American culture and society. To get our community involved, AAPLD is hosting two contests for high school students and adults:

Black History Month Quiz (Prize: $50 Amazon Gift Card)
Pick up a quiz at the Black History Month display in the Adult Services Department, answer all 25 questions about African American history, and turn in your quiz to the Adult Services desk by Thursday, February 28 at 9 pm. All quizzes with perfect scores will be entered for a random drawing. We’ve got great online resources to find the right answers: Biography in Context, eLibrary, Gale Virtual Reference Library and WorldBook Reference Center! All you need to access is your AAPLD card. You can also download and print the quiz.
