Explore 11 Area Libraries To Collect Unique Buttons With Chances For Great Prizes

Did you know that your library card is good throughout McHenry County and beyond? It's true!

For Library Lovers’ Month in February, AAPLD and fellow McHenry County libraries are collaborating to introduce you to all the community resources you have as a library cardholder.

Register at your home library where you’ll get started with a map of participating McHenry County libraries and a lanyard. Each library that you visit will give you a unique button to add to your collection. Explorers who complete all visits will be entered to win one of the multiple gift baskets valued at $50 each (shown below).

Register in person at the Algonquin Area Public Library’s Youth Services Desk or Eastgate Branch.

All ages may participate in this expedition, but everyone in your family/group must be present to get a button and stamp on your map.
