Giving trees help community

This holiday season, pick up a tag or two from an AAPLD Community Giving Tree at the either library location. Purchase the gift(s) on the wish list and make the holidays brighter for less fortunate children, families, and seniors in the community.

Giving Tree tags include general information about a recipient along with his/her “wish list” item(s), so shopping is easy! Donors are asked to bring unwrapped gifts to either library location with their original Giving Tree tags, and, if possible, gift receipts. Don’t worry about wrapping the gifts – AAPLD has plenty of elves to help wrap!

“Our Giving Trees provide a way for APPLD to connect residents who are looking for an opportunity to support residents who need the help,” Sara Murray, AAPLD Executive Director says. “We are privileged to serve our community in this way, and have been delighted and touched by the generous spirit of the community in past years.”

Unwrapped gifts are due back at either library location by Monday, December 17. Donations will help local schoolchildren, senior center residents, and participants in Safe Families for Children programs. Be sure to stop by the library and grab a tag today!
