Construction Continues at Harnish

With the completion of the Harnish Main Library addition, the construction project officially moved into Phase 2. We hope you've had an opportunity to explore both levels of the new addition and - from the Quiet Reading Room on the first level to the Kids' Reading Nooks on the lower level - you've been discovering all the new, unique spaces we've created for you.

A big move took place at the end of February, when a significant amount of materials and shelving were relocated to the new addition. We've created signage to help direct you in your search, but please ask staff for help if you can't find what you need.

The walls of the makerspace, computer lab, and teen area on the upper level have been framed and those spaces are starting to take shape. The new program room, play area, storage room, and mechanical room are framed on the lower level. You're welcome to peek through the old program room door to see the progress being made on the lower level.  Drywall and paint are not too far off!

We'd like to thank all of our patrons and visitors for their patience and positive attitude as we move through some of the more challenging parts of the construction project.
