Too many distractions at home? Study for the big exam here.

School District 300’s three final exam days are December 20th, 21st, and 22nd. AAPLD is ready for you to study here! The downstairs large meeting room at the Harnish Main Library is reserved each evening for high school students in need of study space for their final exams. Note: This room is not guaranteed to be completely silent for the entire time but it will be stocked with snacks & drinks.

If you want to book a private study room, please call 847-458-6060 (ext. 5) to make a reservation. The maximum time for a study room is 2 hours each day. People can book private rooms up to 7 days in advance, so to guarantee yourself a private room, we advise calling ASAP to get that reservation. Remember, high school students will be competing for those private study rooms with the regular, everyday adults who use them for tutoring or work-related purposes. The early bird gets the worm!

You also can utilize the Teen Room at the Harnish Main Library. This dedicated space is loaded with video games, board games, study booths and tables, a small fridge, and more. Come be yourself! Oh, and while you’re here, check out these upcoming events to help get through the stress of exams.

Drop by the teen room to make a custom mini piñata, complete with candy to fill it up. A “Sweet Reads” activity for the stressed-out high school student who needs to break something!
Stressed out? Meet Oakley and Walter, the K9 Therapy Dogs for the McHenry and Carpentersville police departments. They will be at the library for snuggles, no signups are needed.
Take a study break & stop by the downstairs meeting room to make yourself a warm drink. The end is almost here!

No registration is required for these events.
