FT/PT: Part-time, hourly, non-exempt
Hours: 20 hours/week
Wages: Starts at $16.20-$17.80/hour - depending on qualifications and experience

Description

We are seeking a highly detail oriented individual to join our technical services team to prepare materials for use by the staff and public.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Preparing library materials and multi-piece kits for shelf readiness
  • Repackaging and making minor to intermediate repairs to library materials as needed
  • Checking shelves for items needing attention
  • Assisting with withdrawn materials
  • And other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency with or ability to learn computers, software, and other office equipment
  • Experience with Polaris ILS a plus
  • Book repair skills a plus
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to affix labels, cut, fold, wrap, insert, or otherwise manipulate a wide variety of Library materials, operate Library and office equipment such as a keyboard, touch screen, or other input device
  • Sufficient personal mobility, physical strength and stamina to stand, stoop, bend, reach, twist, and lift materials weighing up to 30 pounds and push carts of materials weighing up to 40 pounds
