Philosophy/General Purpose:Young children have a natural ability to learn languages! They are able to absorb whatever they hear, are able to mimic the native accent with ease, and have the ability to learn new words in two different languages at an incredibly fast rate. Our Spanish and Mandarin Preschools are immersion-based programs in which children learn traditional preschool skills while building a foundation in a second language. Our teachers are native-speakers with extensive experience in education and child development.
Curriculum: Our program is designed to teach children the necessary skills to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. Subjects/activities include numbers, colors, the alphabet, the seasons, weather, expressing emotions, hand-eye coordination, vocabulary-building songs, arts and crafts, movement and music, free and organized play, snack time and clean up.
Toilet Trained (Y or N):Yes
Facilities (classrooms, gymnasiums, etc.): Classroom
Student/Teacher Ratio: 8:1 (maximum)
Approximate Class Size: 4-8 students
Additional Information/Notes: In our increasingly global society, it is becoming very apparent that knowing more that one language is becoming a necessity, and the optimal time to learn a second language is between birth and age 10. Research shows that children who learn a foreign language at an early age, demonstrate heightened creativity and higher problem solving skills, acquire a clearer understanding of English vocabulary and grammar, have a greater awareness and sensitivity to cultures other than their own, show higher cognitive performance in overall basic skills in elementary school and beyond. Our schedule allows children to enroll in our preschool program in addition to their regular preschool. We are open to adding classes and languages whenever there is sufficient interest.

Philosophy/General Purpose: Maria Montessori developed the most compassionate and adaptable educational system. She sought to make the parents and educators of the world understand the vital importance of children and their early years. Learning occurs in our multi-age classrooms where children at varied stages of development learn from and with each other under the guidance of experienced teachers. The program is tailored to meet the specific learning styles and capabilities of its students. Montessori Pathways fosters a sense of community and respect for self, others, and the environment. This builds a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning.
Curriculum: At Montessori Pathways we offer a lovely classroom setting where children work in an atmosphere of freedom and responsibility. The Montessori materials provide a sound academic base. They attract your child’s interest and support your child’s learning. An active, hands-on approach enables your child to discover the world. Areas of interest introduce your child to math, science, sensorial, language arts, grace and courtesy, practical life skills, geography, history, music and art, and field trips.
