Eclectic CAFE

Come to Algonquin’s hottest and longest running teen café! After a decade...yes, 11 years this monthly poetry café is still going strong for high school students going into 9th grade and up. We meet on the 2nd Wednesdays September – July. We encourage and invite students to share their poetry, musical talents and writing or just have fun being entertained in a coffeehouse atmosphere. Refreshments are served. Doors open at 6:30 “Open Mike” 7:00-9:00 pm

Anime and Manga Review Team

Teens interested in Anime and Manga are welcome to help review and suggest anime and manga titles for the library and plan an event or contest for teens!

ACT Full-Length Practice Test administered by KAPLAN
(Saturday February 27th, 2010 - 09:30 AM)

A fully proctored practice ACT test (approx 3.5 hours) will show students what to expect in a test-like environment. Students will receive a comprehensive analysis of their performance on the test detailing individual strengths and weaknesses, during your scheduled ACT Workshop. Students will receive the Kaplan ACT in a Box of 600 Flashcards and a morning snack before the test. $20 Registration required for Test & Workshop. Place not secure until payment is received. Grade 11-12 only. Limit of 24.

KAPLAN ACT Test Strategies 101 Workshop
(Monday March 8th, 2010 - 07:00 PM)

Adrienne Brazil from Kaplan Test Prep will deliver test scores at this follow-up seminar to FEB 27 practice test. Students & parents will learn how to score higher using key Kaplan strategies, the format and content of test, review and answer question types and a study plan for success!
