Friends of the Algonquin Area Public LibraryWho are we? The Friends of the Algonquin Area Public Library was founded in 1991. The Friends is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting our local libraries by providing materials, services and programming which is not funded by the library budget. The Friends meet every Tuesday morning from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at the lower level of the Eastgate branch of the Algonquin Area Public Library. Membership is open to everyone, so please join us! We all love books and enjoy our time together. We also have at least one meeting per year in the evening. This meeting is usually when we receive our “wish list” from the library staff.
