Friends of the Algonquin Area Public Library
Who We Are and What We Do The Friends of the Algonquin Area Public Library was founded May 6, 1991. The Friends are a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the main and branch library by providing materials, services and educational opportunities which are not funded by the library budget. The Friends meet every Tuesday morning from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at the lower level of the Eastgate branch of the Algonquin Area Public Library. Membership is open to anyone high school age and above, so please join us! We all love books and enjoy our time together. We sort books by subject. All of our adult and childrens books are shelved, bookstore style. All fiction, mysteries and paperbacks are sorted, alphabetically by author. Biographies are in alphabetical order. Our customers love how easy it is to find what they want and we love creating an inviting environment to shop for bargains! Booksale Finder rates our book sales EXCEPTIONAL!
Meet our board members! We have an official meeting of the board and volunteers on the first Tuesday of the month. Our volunteers are the heart of our organization! |
