Give back to your community and give blood in July! AAPLD will host a Heartland Blood Center blood drive on Monday, July 25 from 3 to 7pm in the Harnish Main Library Meeting Room.
Did you know that blood donations are needed every day of the year to save patients’ lives? Blood donors help sustain lives all around the country. Heartland Blood Centers provides blood to hospitals within the greater Chicagoland area and all across the country.
The process of donating blood is very simple and includes registration, a screening and mini-physical, the actual donation, and some juice and cookies. It only takes about 45 minutes to donate a pint of whole blood. Please consider saving a life today! You’ll also receive a coupon for a FREE pint of ice cream from Baskin Robbins for donating blood.
