How to Get a Library Card

Adults (16 years and older) must provide a photo ID and proof of current address within the library district in order to obtain a card (see policy for details). An Algonquin/LITH mailing address may not guarantee district residence; phone the Circulation Dept. (458-6060 x140) to verify. Children aged 5-15 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the application in the presence of a staff member. Read our non-resident card policy for details. Click here to apply for a card online.
