Library Programs

The library may sponsor cultural, community service and adult education series for its patrons in an effort to stimulate cultural interest and growth within the community. It is the purpose of the library to arrange these programs so as to present subjects of varied interest and depth.

The library also sponsors programs especially for young people. Such programs are designed to give children a wide acquaintance with the library, promote the full use of its facilities, guide in their book selections, and offer opportunities to explore, enjoy, and assimilate the vast treasury of ideas found in the library. These programs may include reading clubs, summer story hours, winter story hours, movies, library displays and special activities during Children's Book Week.

Attendance at Children's programs is limited to residents of the Algonquin Area Public Library District. Attendance at Adult programs is open to all.
