LIBRARY PROGRAM POLICY

Library programming supports the Library’s mission to serve the informational, educational, cultural and recreational needs of its residents. The Library strives to offer a variety of programs for all ages that reflect the community’s interests. Library sponsored programs shall be at the discretion of the Library staff.

The Library reserves the right to limit certain programs to Algonquin Area Public Library cardholders. Registration for some programs may be necessary when space is limited. While Library programs are free, there may be optional charges for material or books used by program participants.

Out-of-district residents may purchase a program card which allows them to attend Youth Services programs, which are limited to AAPLD cardholders. Program cards are valid for one calendar year (January 1 to December 31) for all children in the family. After June 1, a 6 month program card will available for purchase at ½ the annual rate. The annual rate for a Non-Resident Youth Services Program Card is $150.00.
