Internet Use Policy

"The Algonquin Area Public Library supports the intellectual right to access information in a variety of formats. The Internet provides access to vast amounts of information and portions of this information may be incomplete, inaccurate, or personally offensive. Providing access to the Internet is not the same as selecting and purchasing materials for the Library collection. It is, therefore, left to each user to determine what is appropriate. Users must avoid the display of images that are considered inappropriate for public viewing. Users agree not to tamper with computer hardware/software or attempt to violate system security. Violation of these rules will result in the termination of Internet use privileges at the library."
