Internet Use Policy

The Algonquin Area Public Library supports the intellectual right to access information in a variety of formats including the Internet.

The Internet provides access to vast amounts of information and portions of this information may be incomplete, inaccurate, or personally offensive.

Users must avoid the display of images that are inappropriate for viewing in a public library.

Users may not tamper with computer hardware/software or attempt to violate system security.

Users may not violate copyright laws by downloading protected works.

Any violation of these rules will result in the termination of Internet use privileges at the library.
