Community Information Display

The Algonquin Area Public Library provides space for local non-profit organizations and units of local government to display notices and flyers that promote awareness of services and events of interest to the community.  Preference will be given to organizations based in Algonquin and Lake in the Hills.

General Guidelines

Notices and flyers promoting local fundraising programs and activities will be permitted.  The Library does not sponsor or endorse the viewpoints or activities of these organizations.

Library facilities may not be used to advertise items or services for sale, promote political candidates or agendas, post lost and found notices, solicit business, or post legal notices.  Referenda or election related materials pertaining to the Library are permitted.

Permission is required before notices and flyers are posted.  Permission to post at one facility does not guarantee that there is also display space available at the other Library location. Specific time periods for posting cannot be guaranteed.  Posted materials can be no larger than 8 ½ X 11”.

Non-Compliance

The Library reserves the right to refuse or remove any notice, flyer, or handout that does not comply with these guidelines.
