Community Information DisplayAll notices and flyers to be posted or displayed in the community information area must be approved by the Administrative Librarian or by a Department Head. Any notice or flyer which raises substantial question will be referred to the Board of Trustees. Priority will be given to local (Algonquin or Lake in the Hills) organizations. The following notices are strictly prohibited:
Due to space limitations not all approved notices or flyers can be displayed. Display does not represent endorsement by the Algonquin Area Public Library District. Posted materials can be no larger than 8-1/2 x II. Political or election related and legal notices that involve the Algonquin Area Public Library District are permitted. No electioneering or election campaigning is permitted except for Library related ballot issues, and in those cases, proponents or opponents will be permitted to distribute literature in the Library lobby or from sidewalks and leave literature in the library Approved |
