STUDY ROOM POLICY

 

Purpose

The Algonquin Area Public Library provides study rooms to enable individuals or small groups to work or study privately during regular library hours.

 

Guidelines for Usage

Individuals must be 14 years of age to request a study room.

 

Reservations may be made by phone or in-person.  Algonquin cardholders, Lake in the Hills /Algonquin residents and literacy tutors may reserve up to one week ahead.  Same day reservations are open to all.  Individuals may reserve a study room for 2 hours per day.

 

 Reservations will be held for 15 minutes.

 

If a patron leaves the room for more than 15 minutes, the room will be considered vacant.

 

Rules of Behavior

Individuals using the study rooms must comply with the rules of behavior set forth in the Library’s Code of Conduct.
