• Young Adult Librarian (Full-time)

The Algonquin Area Public Library is looking for an energetic, innovative librarian to join the Adult Services staff, with a focus on teen services. Primary responsibilities include teen programming, selecting and maintaining the YA collection and use of Web 2.0 to create services for teens. Other responsibilities include general reference, readers' advisory and computer class instruction.

Requirements
MLS from ALA-Accredited Institution. Excellent customer service and computer skills, and a knowledge of YA literature are required. Experience working with teens preferred. Full-time schedule Includes some nights and weekends.

Salary: Starts at $39,000 annually.

•  Customer Services Associate – Eastgate Branch (Part-Time)

Part Time Position – 20 hours per week. Includes some evening and weekend hours.

The Customer Service Assocate greets and directs library patrons, registers new users, and charges and discharges library materials. The ideal candidate will have good customer relation skills and experience with computers.
